VIVA – The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower has issues new regulation to sexual harrashment prevention at the workplace. In cooperation with Apindo, labor unions and trade unions also made a tripartite declaration on the prevention and handling of sexual violence.

"Today, we together with the Ministry of Manpower and Apindo, trade unions, labor unions, made a tripartite declaration on the prevention and handling of sexual violence in the workplace," said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah in South Jakarta, on Thursday.

Minister Fauziyah said the declaration was the Government's commitment to creating a healthy working environment.

In its application, the minister emphasized that her ministry will do real work to eliminate injustice for victims of sexual harassment in the workplace. Minister Fauziyah hopes that everyone can work comfortably and safely.

"We will do real and humanitarian work, prevent and eliminate sexual harassment of workers, including supporting the reporting of victims. Which means, we must to protect victims, and be there for them," she concluded.
