The government's priority program aims to promote Indonesian cuisine to achieve an export value of US$2 billion (nearly IDR 29.8 trillion) and activate 4,000 Indonesian restaurants abroad by the end of 2024.

The series of activities at the meeting included the preparation of a financing list, the introduction of integrated business operations technology with PT ESB, and the inauguration of the Orient Express culinary business in London.

In addition, there was a discussion session with the theme of encouraging the Netherlands as the center of Indonesian cuisine in Europe and discussions with stakeholders and the Indonesian diaspora in London and The Hague related to the Indonesian spice market in the two countries to encourage exports of Indonesian spices to the European market.

Handayani added that all aspirations and inputs will be recorded and then discussed with stakeholders in Indonesia to find solutions to challenges and follow-up support for the ISUTW program.

One of the challenges faced by Indonesian culinary businesses abroad is the difficulty of accessing financing in business development, due to the lack of understanding related to financial literacy.
