VIVA – Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea won the Premier League golden glove award after keeping a clean sheet against Bournemouth on Saturday night.
Manchester United who come to Bournemouth headquarters at the Vitality stadium won 1-0 through the only goal scored by Casemiro in the 9th minute.
Although the Red Devils in the Premier League still have two matches left, De Gea certainly won the gold glove award after his closest competitor Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker failed to carve a clean sheet against Aston Villa.
As reported from the official Premier League website, Saturday, the Spanish goalkeeper has now recorded 16 clean sheets, while Becker is second with a record 14 clean sheets.
This success made De Gea win the Premier League golden glove award for the second time during his career under the Manchester United bar.
Previously, De Gea won this award in the 2017/2018 season by recording 18 clean sheets.
De Gea can still pursue that record this season if he manages to keep a clean sheet against Chelsea on May 26 and Fulham on May 28 in the remaining two matches ahead.
