The 2023 SEA Games: Indonesia Adds Gold Medal, Latest from Football

VIVA – The Indonesian contingent's acquisition of the 2023 SEA Games gold medal increased by approximately 9. The number can still increase because there are several more sports that will be competed. The latest from Indonesian football managed to achieve a gold medal. 

Furthermore, in badminton, the gold medal was contributed by mixed doubles Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati. They defeated Malaysian representatives, Roy King Yap/Cheng Su Yin with a position of 20-22, 21-8, and 21-16.



There are women's doubles, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma / Amalia Cahya Pratiwi who got gold. They beat another Indonesian representative, Meilysa Trias Puspitasari / Rachel Allessya Rose.

A duel between Indonesian representatives was also presented in the men's singles final. Christian Adinata became the gold medalist, while the silver medal was obtained by Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo.

Moreover, two gold medals from kickboxing were donated by Diandra Ariesta Pieter who dropped in the Women's Kick Light 55kg class. The other came from Toni Kristian Hutapea from the Men's Full Contact 54kg.

Aero Sutan Anwar won a gold medal in jetski sports. He became the best when he dropped in the Endurance Runabout Open number.

Anwar Tarra and friends donated a gold medal for Indonesia from the traditional boat race. They won the competition in the Men's TBR 12 Crews (Open) 800m.

Next was beach volleyball. Where the Indonesian men's team represented by Bintang Akbar / Danangsyah Yudistira Pribadi / Gilang Ramadhan / Muhammad Ashfiya came out as the winner.



So far, Indonesia is in third place in the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games medal standings. Above it is Thailand with 100 gold, 83 silver, and 96 bronze. While at the top there is Vietnam which posted 125 gold, 101 silver, and 99 bronze.

Most recently, Indonesia managed to get gold from football against Thailand on Tuesday night. Indonesia vs Thailand ended with a score of 5-2. 

For 32 years, Indonesia managed to get a gold medal in the soccer sector at the SEA Games.
