Indonesia Exports Ready-to-eat Food Ahead of the 2023 Hajj Season

VIVA – Ahead of the 2023 Hajj season, one of Indonesia company exports 1.5 million instant condiments and ready-to-eat food to Saudi Arabia.
Exporting is considered a strategic step for Indonesian companies to expand their international business reach, and introduce the archipelago's culinary wealth to the global market.
"Exporting is not only a great business achievement but also a reflection of the commitment and persistence of all employees. Pangansari Group is known for its authentic Indonesian flavors, and will now introduce them to the global market," President Director of Pangansari Group, Maghfur Lasah stated in a statement on Saturday.
He explained that to strengthen its position as a high-quality food producer, Pangansari Group has developed various food products tailored to the tastes of Indonesian hajj pilgrims.
"This process includes the use of local ingredients, flavor adjustments, and halal aspects to fulfill international market quality standards," Lasah said.
Pangansari Group, through its subsidiary PT Pangansari Utama Food Industri, is known to launch a series of exclusive products. It consists of instant seasonings and ready-to-eat food that are rich in spices and authentic Indonesian recipes.
"A total of 1.5 million pouches or equivalent to 311 tons and will be sent by sea and air in stages starting from today until the end of the month," he informed.
The Managing Director of Pangansari Group also confirmed that the export aims to facilitate food providers during the peak Hajj season, one is using instant spices and ready-to-eat concept foods.
"The use of instant seasonings can increase the efficiency of the cooking process in the kitchen by up to 30%, while still maintaining the quality and taste of Indonesian specialties," he remarked.
