Google Reveals Its First Foldable Phone, Costs IDR26 Million
VIVA – Google finally reveals its first foldable phone at its annual I/O developer conference. Named Google Pixel Fold, the handset features a foldable form factor as that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series.

Google’s foldable phone is priced at $1,799 (IDR 26 million). It is offered in two color variants; black and white. Google is giving a free Pixel watch on the purchase of Pixel Fold. The smartphone will be available in select countries for now. There are no details about the phone’s India launch yet.
Google Pixel Fold: Features
Powering the Google Pixel Fold is Google’s Tensor G2 chipset that also fuels the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and now Pixel 7a. When folded, the phone features a 5.79-inch with a wide aspect ratio. On unfolding the device, users will get a bigger 7.69 inches with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Pixel Fold is claimed to be the thinnest foldable phone on the market.
The handset boasts 12GB RAM and will be offered in two storage options - 256GB and 512 GB. Although Google has not revealed the operating system of Pixel Fold, the phone likely runs Android 13.
Coming to the camera on Pixel Fold, there is a triple camera setup on the rear of the phone. The system consists of a 48MP wide-angle camera paired with a 10.8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 10.8MP telephotos camera.
At the front, there is an 8.3MP camera on the cover display for selfies and video calls. For power, the Pixel Fold relies on a 4,800mAh battery. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and also supports wireless charging as well, as reported from the Live Mint site.
Google claims that Pixel Fold comes with the most durable hinge on a foldable phone. It features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the exterior and also boasts a IPX8 water-resistant design.
