VIVA Eglish – Daewoong Pharmaceutical has started to secure exceptional global talents to take a big step forward towards becoming a global pharmaceutical giant.
On April 27th, Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced that it had recruited 19 global talents from Indonesia with backgrounds in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to strengthen R&D capabilities.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical selected experts in engineering, chemistry, biology, and pharmacy from Indonesia. The first wave of global talents, consisting of local university alumni, including the University of Indonesia (UI) and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), will begin working in the QA/QC department at Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Osong Smart Factory in South Korea.
Prioritizing employee growth, Daewoong Pharmaceutical provides opportunities for its employees to expand their job expertise and become professionals in related fields, such as production, research, development, and global business, through the Career Development Program (CDP) system.
Employees with good research abilities can develop their careers as R&D experts in researching and developing new chemical drugs, generic drugs, improved new drugs, biological new drugs, and biosimilars, as well as researching prescription methods, processes, and quality testing at research centers.
In addition, based on research results, they have the opportunity to become regulatory professionals (RA) who acquire and evaluate pharmaceutical licenses, contribute to Daewoong Group's foreign business, and grow as global business leaders.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical's global talent recruitment operates in an "All-care" format to ensure that employees who are accepted and move to Korea can adapt smoothly, so that employees can focus on their work.
The company provides detailed assistance programs such as housing assistance, living guidance in Korea, and other basic needs, such as communication device activation, financial system activation, and other basic assistance provided in the Daewoong welcome kit.
The first group of global talents arrived in Korea on April 24th via Incheon International Airport and attended a welcome ceremony and orientation with Seung-Ha Lee, director of the Osong Daewoong Pharmaceutical factory, and other employees after arriving at the Osong Smart Factory where they will work.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical hopes that this global talent recruitment will be a stepping stone to becoming a global pharmaceutical giant outside Korea.
The company has already recruited for the second wave of global talent in February of this year, and has recruited three times the size of the first group, with over 60 people.
Those who are currently undergoing internship evaluations in Indonesia will be placed in Korean production facilities if they pass the final evaluation. In addition, Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to continue large-scale recruitment activities for global talent selection in Indonesia in the second half of this year.
“The recruitment of the first wave of global talent demonstrates Daewoong Pharmaceutical's commitment to continue growing in the global market, including Indonesia." said CEO of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Seng-ho Jeon.
