The 2023 SEA Games: Indonesia Wins Six Medals from Kun Bukator Sport

VIVA – The Indonesian contingent won six medals from the Kun Bukator sport at the 2023 SEA Games. The six medals include one silver and five bronze. The match was held at Hall C of the Chroy Changvar Convention Center, Phnom Penh, on Thursday.
The silver medal was donated by Alfadhila Ramadhan in the men's individual spirit form bokator number. He successfully collected a score of 7.67.
While gold belongs to the host athlete, Punleu Pichmorakoth who gets a score of 8.00. Bronze was won by Myanmar athlete, Oo Chit Hlaing with a score of 7.33.
Ramadhan was recorded as the first Indonesian athlete to donate a medal for Indonesia, "I am grateful to be able to get silver even though the target is gold. Hopefully in the next event I can win a gold medal," he said.
Other Indonesian kun bokator athletes who added five bronzes were Riana Oktavia (spirit number women's bokator), Gema Nur Arifin (men's individual bamboo shield), Delsya Anggraeni (women's individual bamboo shield), Dzaki Fadhlurrohman (men's individual empty hand number), and Dwi Jayanti (women's individual empty hand number).
Kun bokator is a Cambodian sport that is being contested for the first time at Southeast Asia's biggest biennial sporting event. Overall, 21 numbers are being contested.
On the first day, the hosts dominated the kun bokator medal tally with four gold and two bronze. The Philippines came second with one gold, two silver, and one bronze. The third position is occupied by Laos with one gold and two bronze.
Then Indonesia was in fourth position with one silver and five bronze and finally Myanmar who earned one silver and two bronze.
