Dating App Survey Says 73 Percent Indonesians Hope to Find the One
- U-Report
VIVA – Recently, a survey from the dating app Tinder revealed that 68 percent of users have expectations about their dating future. Meanwhile, 73 percent of them go on dates in the hope of meeting their soulmate or "the one".Â
Furthermore, when considering the ideal partner, 79 percent of them wish to have someone who is both open-minded and accepting. While singles have this outlook and are passionate about it, at the same time they also feel that awkwardness is a major obstacle to dating (51 percent).Â
As recently depicted in the It Starts With A SwipeTM campaign, young singles have no time to waste, and no tolerance for the twists and turns of the dating game.Â
For this reason, School of Swipes was created by Tinder as the first mobile-based wingmate that is easy to access and has a series of how-to guides.Â
The guide aims to demystify online dating in an informative and encouraging way, focusing on the challenges that young singles often face.Â
School of Swipes will accompany singles throughout their online dating journey, from setting up a profile to preparing for a first date. Singles can also find tips on how to have a great conversation, build real-life chemistry, and safe ways to explore relationships on Tinder.
The Vice President of Communications at Tinder, Papri Dev, said Southeast Asia is home to many young singles. Many of them are digitally savvy and eager to connect with new people online.Â
"However, we've also learned that when faced with the question of dating, most of them aren't sure who to ask or talk to. This is where Tinder, as a global dating app, helps them," Papri Dev said in a statement on Saturday.Â
"Through School of SwipeTM, we want to help young singles become confident in their dating journey. The resources presented complement Tinder's innovative features and tutorials to make dating safe and fun for all young singles," he added.Â
