Chery Gains Popularity in Indonesian Market with Omoda 5 Sales

VIVA – Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) last February, launched its latest product, the Omoda 5 – belonging to the Premium Crossover SUV segment. So far, Omoda 5 has gained popularity among Indonesian people, also globally.
This crossover SUV achieved record-breaking sales of over 13,000 units in the first quarter.
"The Omoda 5 has made a positive impact on Chery. So far, we have worked out detailed product strategies based on market analysis and trends. In the future, we will definitely introduce other new products to increase Chery's popularity in Indonesia," President Chery Sales Indonesia, Shawn Xu at the Iftar Gathering with Media event, in Jakarta, on Friday.
Xu explained that providing many selections of models to Indonesian automotive consumers is one of Chery's steps to strengthen its customer network throughout Indonesia.

"We understand that the Indonesian market has different characters and needs. Even so, all consumers deserve the opportunity to own a quality vehicle with a complete and functional feature set, that can support their lifestyle, and value for money," he explained.
Regarding products, this Chinese brand is committed to always coming up with leading-edge technology and captivating designs, to support driving needs.
Furthermore, it is known that CSI will launch five new premium cars by the end of 2023. The latest products include the Tiggo 4 Pro, two facelifts of SUV models, and the Omoda BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle).
It doesn't end there, CSI will also launch eight new models in 2024-2025. The models to be introduced include a two-row REEV SUV, a two-row PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) SUV, a three-row REEV SUV, a three-row ICE SUV, and three two-row ICE SUV models.
