Daimler Truck Provides Convenience for Logistics Drivers

VIVA – Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) is the brand holding agent of Mercedes Benz trucks and buses in Indonesia. Daimler truck is designed with drivers' comfort in mind, with features like a foldable footrest, and larger dimensions on the back of the driver's seat, and provides another convenience for drivers, especially when delivering logistics.
DCVI, on Monday, introduced the Axor M-Cab – this logistics truck is a development of the Axor Euro 4 that was released last year.
"Axor M-Cab also applies the Euro 4 standard, still with the same technology as its predecessor, but with additional dimensions in the driver's cabin and also new facilities to support driver comfort," The Head of Product Management & Marketing DCVI, Faustina stated at the Mini Talkshow about Axor Logistic Challenge at The Forest at the Veranda, Jakarta, on Monday.
The difference with the previous car is in the dimension length. The tractor-head cabin gets an additional dimension behind the driver's seat.

"Having a wider resting space will make it easier and more comfortable for drivers to rest. In addition to the bed, the back of the driver's seat has a wider dimension. The passenger seat can also be folded so that the driver can lie across from the passenger seat to the driver's seat," Faustina explained.
The logistics truck is also equipped with additional larger storage bins under the bed and under the passenger seat. On the passenger seat, the new unit also adds a foldable footrest. This is the latest facility for operators who want the truck to be driven by two people.
"The presence of the expanded cabin dimensions is expected to further support and help advance the logistics industry which has been a segment for our product, Mercedes-Benz Axor," she said.
In terms of power, the Axor M-Cab is still powered by the same OM 906 LA engine and equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Zero Pressure Drain Unit Pump (ZPD Pump), which is a suitable combination for operation in Indonesia.
The combination of these two technologies provides high uptime with longer maintenance intervals of up to 50,000km, as well as improved fuel efficiency with cleaner emissions.
