WhatsApp to Bring iOS-like Design for Android Users Soon

VIVA – Recently, WhatsApp has reportedly been working on the design in an upcoming update. WABetaInfo, a platform that tracks changes in WhatsApp builds, has reported that the popular messaging app is planning to change its interface to make it easier for users to quickly access features such as Chats, Calls, Community, and more.
The report states that the company to bring a bottom navigation bar to the Android version of the app similar to what we see on iOS.
The bottom navigation bar on the app will make it easier for the users to navigate between different sections of the app and will make all features more accessible.
"The tweaked user interface that includes a bottom navigation bar is under development and it will be released in an upcoming update for the app," the report added.
Meanwhile, the icons for camera, search, and settings will remain at the top right of the screen. The new design will offer a more consistent WhatsApp experience between Android and iPhone (iOS) smartphone.
The site claims this new interface will be available in an upcoming WhatsApp update. However, it is not known when it will be available to the public or beta testers yet.
It is important to note that users can move from one section to another of the app by simply swiping the screen with their thumb to the left or right.
