Prophet’s Mosque Sterilized Five Times a Day during Ramadhan

VIVA – The Agency of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque has intensified its efforts to sterilize the mosque and its facilities as part of endeavors to provide services to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque and to increase the efficiency and quality of the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards.
These efforts include cleaning and sterilizing the Prophet's Mosque during the holy month of Ramadhan, five times a day while the toilets are cleaned about ten times a day.
A total of 300 carpet-sweeping machines clean the carpets of the Prophet’s Mosque and 92 floor-washing machines carrying 18,000 liters of environmentally friendly sterilizers wash the floors of the mosque; 1,500 liters of fresheners were used for the floors of the Prophet’s Mosque. In addition, 2,800 shoe cabinets are also cleaned and sterilized every day.
The board of the Prophet's Mosque has also equipped 10,000 seats to serve the elderly and provide comfort for visitors and worshipers while at the Prophet's Mosque.
They said that through its various departments, they are continuously coordinating with relevant authorities to serve visitors following the directives of Saudi Arabia.
They are also committed to providing the highest level of service for visitors. This is in line with the Kingdom's 2030 vision of increasing the number of pilgrims and visitors in Saudi Arabia.
After that, 300,000 iftar meals are also provided daily at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina.
Every year, catering companies prepare iftar meals in the holy month of Ramadan for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in Medina. They serve around 300,000 meals a day.
Iftar meals are served inside the mosque and its surroundings with a focus on maintaining sanitary conditions. Meals usually include dates, fresh bread, yogurt, water, and sandwiches.
