Three Creatures to Come at the Doomsday
- U-Report
VIVA – Doomsday is one of the days that will certainly happen. Ahead of its arrival, there are signs that mark doomsday, such as the appearance of some unusual and scary creatures.
Their existence has been widely mentioned in the Qur'an and traditions in Islam. Currently, Allah SWT has not allowed these creatures to appear before humans. So, here are the creatures that will come on doomsday.
1. Dajjal
Dajjal is a creature considered to be the greatest calumny of the last days. Dajjal is believed to be a false man who will claim to be a prophet and teach people false teachings. He will also perform various false miracles to prove his truth.
There are various understandings from scholars regarding the meaning of the term dajjal. Some of them are as follows:
According to Al Ashma'i, dajjal comes from the word dajjal, which means 'to paint a horse with a trunk'. This is what the dajjal will do in the future, covering the truth with magic and lies.
According to Al Khalil Ibrahim, dajjal means 'liar'. According to him, the word comes from the word dajlah or dajalah which means 'lying'.
Meanwhile, according to Sahih Muslim, Dajjal will wander for 40 days, during which a day will feel like a year, then a day like a month, reduced to a week, and the remaining time will feel like ordinary days.
2. Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)
In Islam, Gog and Magog are mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Kahf verses 94-98. In Islamic belief, Gog and Magog are considered powerful and great nations that will come out of prison at the end of the world. They will attack and spread destruction across the world but will be defeated by Allah in the end.
The view of Gog and Magog varies among different religious traditions. In general, however, they are regarded as a pair of powerful and evil nations or beings that will emerge in the last days to attack and spread destruction.
3. Dabbah Al-ardh
This is a creature mentioned in the Quran in Surah Al-Naml verse 82. In the Quran, Dabbah Al-ardh is described as a creature that will appear at the end of time as a sign of the coming doomsday.
In the verse, Dabbah Al-ardh is mentioned as "a creature of the earth that will come out to give information to people." Other than that, there is no more detailed description of Dabbah Al-ardh in the Quran.
The creature is also mentioned in a few traditions, where the Prophet gives some additional information about the characteristics of Dabbah Al-ardh. One is a tradition narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, in which the Prophet said that Dabbah Al-ardh will have a sign located between its eyes, and will carry a seal that will distinguish between believers and non-believers.
In general, beliefs about Dabbah Al-ardh are not very detailed in Islam, and there are many different views about the creature. Some views state that Dabbah Al-ardh is a large beast that appears at the end of time to warn people of the coming doomsday.
However, there is no definitive information on what exactly Dabbah Al-ardh is and what it will look like at the end of time.
