Funded by FIFA, Jokowi to Build a Football Training Center at IKN

VIVA – The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed that the government will build a football training center at the new state capital, IKN Nusantara in East Kalimantan. It is known, the construction would be assisted by funds from the world football authority, FIFA.
“The PSSI soccer field will be worked on immediately and is expected to be completed in around one year,” The President stated while reviewing Area 1B, IKN, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, East Kalimantan, on Friday.
Furthermore, the state leader also said that this construction of the training center will be funded by the International Football Federation (FIFA). This is a form of international trust in the development of IKN, the President remarked.
"This will be financed by FIFA, showing that international trust, FIFA's trust in IKN Nusantara exists,"
In response, SOE Minister and PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir appreciated the plan initiated by the President to support Indonesian football.
"It is an extraordinary honor that you have decided to build a training center in the middle of the city. This is something that we make sure will be completed soon sir," Minister Thohir stated.
The planned location of the training center will be built in the sub planning area (SWP) 1B IKN which is intended for educational and government areas.
