VIVA – The Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships (BAMTC) 2023 has entered the elimination phase of Group C today. The prestigious tournament scheduled to run until February 19, 2023, is presented at the Dubai Exhibition Center. In this group stage, Indonesia will play against Thailand at 1 pm.

Head of PP PBSI, Rionny Mainaky said that the players are in good condition and had time to do training. "This is in preparation for facing Thailand in the last match of the Group C phase elimination," Rionny said as quoted from PBSI site.

According to Rionny, the target of winning the group has been set from the start. The player's performance can also be seen from the two previous wins against Lebanon and Syria.

"From the start, we did set a group win target. Hence, the last match against Thailand must be won. From the results of winning 5-0 each over Lebanon, Syria, and Bahrain, it can be seen how the players are performing and who is best prepared to play against Thailand," he explained.

"What is certain is that we will play our best. Who during Dubai always looks the best, has great enthusiasm, and has a great chance of winning, we will show," Rionny Mainaky added.

Previously, the Indonesian first victory was achieved when they beat Lebanon with a score of 5-0 on Tuesday.

On the same day, Indonesia's second victory also returned. That time, the Indonesian badminton players successfully defeat Syria with a score of 5-0. After that, the Indonesian team's third win came when they faced Bahrain which ended with a score of 5-0 on Wednesday.
