Ferrari Launches 296 GTS to Indonesian Automotive Market

VIVA – After 296 GTB came to Indonesia, Ferrari Eurokars officially launches the latest car product again to the Indonesian automotive market, called Ferrari 296 GTS. In general, both are twins with the same platform.
But the difference lies in the retractable hard top (RHT) or automatic open roof feature that’s embedded in the 296 GTS. The RHT construction can be opened and closed in 14 seconds as desired.
General Manager of PT Eurokars Prima Utama, Nini Chiandra, stated that the launch of Ferrari 296 GTS in Indonesia is to fulfill the demand of consumers who like convertible cars.
"We have introduced the 296 GTS for the Indonesian market, where last year in July, we released the 296 GTB. This is the convertible version, and this car has a roof that opens so it provides a different experience for the driver," said Nini Chiandra at the private preview exclusive event in Ferrari Showroom Jakarta, on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.

The 296 GTS uses a new 663 cv 120° V6 engine, coupled with an electric motor capable of producing 122 kW (167 cv) of power. This engine produces a total power output of a class-leading 830 cv (818 HP).
The car's name combines its total capacity (2,992 liters) and number of cylinders with the GTS (Gran Turismo Spider) acronym that belongs to the best Ferrari traditions,
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system on the 296 GTS ensures that the car is extremely easy to use, cutting pedal response time to zero and providing a range of 25 km in fully electric eDrive mode. The car's compact dimensions and the introduction of a dynamic control system. The car has a sporty and modern design.
Regarding its hybrid system, the 296 GTS is equipped with a 7.45 kWh battery. In addition, there is an EV mode where the supercar can travel 25 km and its top speed is 135 kph solely from the electric motor.
Then, about the price of the 296 GTS, it will be more expensive than the previous edition, 296 GTB, “The price will be more expensive than the previous edition, the Ferrari 296 GTB," Nini Chiandra remarked.
