FIFA U-20 World Cup: President Jokowi Has Target for Indonesian Team

VIVA – The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo has a target and hope to the Indonesian national team can qualify from the group phase in the prestigious match, FIFA U-20 World Cup in May. This was conveyed through the Minister of Youth and Sport, Zainudin Amali.
"Mr. President Jokowi expects the children (Indonesian national team) to play optimally. He (the President) does not set grandiose targets. The President knows (the quality) of the team," Minister Zainudin Amali stated.
Minister Amali also said that President Joko Widodo is realistic. Qualifying from the group phase is a good achievement at the U-20 World Cup.
"Once again, Mr. President expects the children to play well, play optimally. If possible, don't stop in the preliminary round. We must qualify, that is the hope of the President," Minister Amali remarked.
Furthermore, Minister Amali is quite optimistic that the expectations of the Head of State can be achieved. Because the development of the Garuda Muda squad has increased under the command of coach Shin Tae-yong. They also added naturalized players later.
"Hopefully, the presence of naturalized players can help the Indonesian national team, improve quality. They (naturalized players) are in the process at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, which I have coordinated. After that, God Willing, the process will be fast," Minister Zainudin Amali explained.
