Bill Gates Prefers to Spend Money for Vaccines than Travel to Mars
VIVA – The billionaire also the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates says that he would rather pay for vaccines than travel to Mars. He thinks it is not a good way to use or spend money.
“It’s actually quite expensive to go to Mars. You can buy measles vaccines and save lives earth and lives for $1,000 per life saved. And so (that) just kind of ground you, as in-don’t go to Mars,” Bill Gates told the BBC, on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023.
Bill Gates' thinking differs from some of the other billionaires involved in the desire to visit outer space, one of whom is Elon Musk. The SpaceX founder has said that he wants to visit and explore Mars.
Other billionaires Jeff Bezos and Sir Richard Branson also have ambitions to send manned flights to Mars to colonize the Red Planet.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos leads the spaceflight company Blue Origin and has already taken a short trip into space in 2021. As for the British tycoon, Sir Richard Branson, who also reached the limits of space with the Virgin Galactic Rocket.
Not only that, but Bill Gates also spoke of his surprise at becoming the face of conspiracy theories during the COVID-19 pandemic, "I did not expect that," he said, referring to suggestions he profited from the virus, or started it himself.
"During the pandemic, there were tens of millions of messages that I intentionally caused it, or I'm tracking people. I'm indeed involved with vaccines, but I'm involved with vaccines to save lives. These messages sort of inverted that. I guess people are looking for the 'boogeyman' behind the curtain, the over-simplistic explanation. Malevolence is a lot easier to understand than biology." Bill Gates explained.
