1. Coban Rondo Waterfall
Behind the beauty of Coban Rondo Waterfall in Batu City, Malang Regency, East Java, there is a mystical story. Coban Rondo Waterfall is known to be 'haunted' for dating couples. The myth is that young couples who are not married do not expect their relationship to last if they visit this tourist spot.
It is said that it is because of the curse of Dewi Anjarwati who does not want other people to happy on top of her suffering as a widow who was left dead by her husband, Raden Baron Kusumo after a duel with Joko Lelono who tried to snatch the goddess. On certain nights, Dewi Anjarwati is also said to often appear around the waterfall crying bitterly.
2. Alas Purwo National Park
This place is a natural rainforest tour, located on Banyuwangi – one of the haunted cities in Indonesia – East Java. Many people said that Alas Purwo is referred to as one of the supernatural kingdoms in Indonesia.
Many cases of visitors getting lost while in this forest have been attributed to disturbances from disturbing astral creatures.Â
3. Lawang Sewu
Lawang Sewu is one of the historical places and icons of Semarang City in Central Java. In the past, this place was known as the administrative office of Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS), a private railroad company from the Netherlands.

It is said that the Grojogan Sewu waterfall is a meeting place for ancestral spirits who lived on the island of Java in ancient times and also other supernatural beings. So, this place is considered haunted by the residents.
In addition, the wooden bridge in the waterfall area is also said to be unsuitable for couples to visit. That's because couples who usually come there will not have a lasting relationship. The bridge is called Kretek Pegat (separation bridge).
5. Parangkusumo Beach
Parangkusumo Beach located in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, is known for its black sand and strong waves. It is said that this beach is said to be a magical portal to the kingdom of the Queen of the South, Nyi Roro Kidul. This beach is also close to Parangtritis Beach.
