1. Sakenan Temple
Thousands of people flock to Sakenan Temple during Kuningan Day. This temple is located on Serangan Island, Denpasar. Sakenan Temple is a place where residents around Serangan Island ask for blessings for the welfare of life to God.
Sakenan Temple is a Kahyangan Jagat temple built by Mpu Kuturan (Rajakretha). Historically, this temple was built as a manifestation of gratitude for the beauty of Serangan Island. Through this Kuningan holiday, people from all over Denpasar and even outside Denpasar will visit Sakenan Temple to perform prayers.
2. Ulun Danu Batur Temple
Located in Kintamani, Bali, Ulun Danu Batur Temple has a temple inside. A uniqueness that creates inter-religious harmony.
Ulun Danu Batur Temple in Kalanganyar Village, Kintamani, Bali, is one of the most sacred temples in Bali after Besakih. The temple, located on the Denpasar-Singaraja Highway, is a place of worship for both Hindus and Chinese.
The temple inside Ulun Danu Temple, Batur, is not too crowded during Chinese New Year. The temple is flooded with Chinese during the Hindu holidays of Galungan and Kuningan, as well as several traditional ceremonies in the region.
This is because one of the total 285 temples and pavilions in it is used as a temple. The tiny temple is filled with Chinese ornaments. Dragon carvings, Chinese calligraphy, and red-gold colors dominate the building. The ornaments sit harmoniously with Balinese offerings in the center.
3. Besakih Temple
Besakih Temple, located in Besakih Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency, Bali, is also known as the Mother Temple. At the same time, it is the highest-level temple in the archipelago.
Currently, the Besakih Temple area is in the arrangement stage. The development is expected to overcome problems during worship ceremonies or at peak times of tourist arrivals. The arrangement of the Besakih Great Temple Area is targeted to be completed by the end of January or no later than early February 2023.
