Malaysia Open 2023: All the World Number One Players Become Winner

VIVA – The Malaysia Open 2023 ended on Sunday, January 15, 2023. This prestigious match at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur created the final match with result of the world number one becoming champion.
On court 1, a mixed double from China, Zhang Si Wei/Huang Ya Qiong needs 44 minutes to defeat the representative of Japan, Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino with a score of 21-16, 21-10. This match also marks the victory of Zhang/Huang for the 12th time.
China added a second title from the women's doubles sector when world number one Chen Qing Chen/Jia Yi Fan won two straight games over South Korean pair Baek Ha Na/Lee Yu Lim in 52 minutes, as well as a revenge for the defeat in the semifinals of the Japan Open 2022.
Meanwhile, Japan got one title through Akane Yamaguchi's women's singles performance after playing a rubber game for one hour and nine minutes against the second seed from South Korea, An Se Young.
However, Japan must give up the men's singles title to world number one Viktor Axelsen from Denmark, who defeated Kodai Naraoka with the score of 21-6, 21-15.
Then the Indonesian men's doubles, Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto presented one title for Indonesia by a three-game victory against Liang Wei Keng / Wang Chang from China with a score of 21-18, 18-21, 21-13, according to the BWF page.
With this result, Fajar / Rian managed to make history by winning the Super 1000 tournament for the first time and maintaining their position in the world's number-one ranking, "Happy, thank God at the beginning of 2023 we can get the first title in Super 1000. Very grateful, hopefully, in the future, it can be better," Fajar Alfian stated.
