The first longest red light in Indonesia is located in the city of Bandung, namely the Kiaracondong-Soekarno Hatta intersection red light. The duration of this red light reaches 12 minutes or 720 seconds. While the duration of the green light is not comparable, namely 1.37 minutes or 97 seconds.

However, according to the Head of the Road Traffic Section of the Bandung Transportation Agency, the cycle at the Kiaracondong intersection is only about 6-7 minutes or 396 seconds. The long duration of the red light in this area has indeed become an old story for the people around Bandung.

The reason is the large number of vehicles passing through this area. The more vehicles, the longer the duration of the red light. At the Kiaracondong red light area, the intersection is very saturated with a low level of intersection service.
