VIVA – Prince Harry reveals his last word to Queen Elizabeth II on her death bed after he arrived at Balmoral castle hours after she passed away on September 2022.
In his controversial autobiography Spare, the Duke of Sussex describes how he whispered to the Queen that he “Hoped she was happy” and would be reunited with Prince Philip, who died a year earlier. He also told her that he admired her for having carried out her duties until the end.
“Admired her for having fulfilled her duties until the very end,”
After leaving his late grandmother's room at Balmoral, Harry says he called his wife to let her know he had arrived safely in Scotland.
As is known, Prince Harry, who relocated to California with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, was in Germany promoting the Invictus Games when they received word that Queen Elizabeth II's health was failing.
However, Harry was unable to make it to Scotland in time to see his 96-year-old grandmother alive for the final time.
However, he attended the 10-day mourning period for the Queen, accompanied by his wife. After the queen passed away, Harry and Meghan Markle publicly reunited with Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time since March last year to pay their respects to the Queen outside Windsor Castle.
