VIVA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visits and reviews the Tanah Abang Market on Monday to ensure that economic activity in the real sector is running well and the market economy in 2023 can improve. During this visit, Jokowi also greeted and dialogued with traders who had started selling.

"I want to see how the real sector moves because this is a market for products in the regions. If here (Tanah Abang Market) goes down, here it stops, it means that production also stops, also goes down," President Jokowi said on Monday, January 2, 2023.

In addition, President Joko Widodo also wants to ensure that the optimism of the sellers will rise again in 2023, especially since the policy of imposing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) was revoked last December.

The head state hopes that this optimism is not only seen in Tanah Abang Market but also in other markets in the country.
