VIVA – The Indonesian student Beatrice Jean Consolata Gobang made her debut and performed at Carnegie Hall, New York City, USA on Monday, December 28, 2022.

This Carnegie Hall debut is the result of Beatrice's first classical vocal award, "First-Prize & Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize of 2021" at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition 2021 and the American Protégé International Vocal Competition 2022.

Beatrice participated in both international music competitions along with international participants from various countries. In addition to receiving award plaques, the first and second-place winners received the opportunity to perform at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall NYC.

Carnegie Hall is a world-class concert hall where musicians from various countries perform, ranging from world-class legendary musicians to children who are learning music on various instruments. The building, built in 1891, has been a historic site and landmark of New York City since 1967.

The American Protégé International Vocal Competition is designed for singers who want to challenge themselves in a highly competitive environment. The competition is open to solo vocalists and vocal groups of all ages, nationalities, and countries.

Beatrice's first opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall on December 19, 2022, in the 2022 Golden Classical Music Awards Winners Concert awards recital.

She sang the German-language poetic song Schwanenlied, composed by Fanny Mendelssohn-Hansel (1805-1847). The Schwanenlied or swan song is based on the poetic lyrics of German poet and literary critic Heinrich Heine (1797-1856).

The second chance to perform at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall NYC on December 27, 2022, in the American Protégé Winners Concert award recital. Beatrice will perform the Italian song Le Violette composed by Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725) with lyrics by Adriano Morselli (1674-1691).

Alessandro Scarlatti was a great Baroque musician from Rome, Italy. He composed many operatic works and is considered one of the most authentic schools of opera. Scarlatti was also one of the founders of oratorio music, which is music played in a prayer hall.

In December 2021, Beatrice participated in the London Young Musicians (LYM) Awards 2021-2022 competition season. In Season 3 and Season 4, she won several awards in the vocal performance category for four songs written by composers from the classical, romantic, and modern music eras.

For the modern music era song, Beatrice performed the Indonesian poetic song Gita Malam (Badjuri, Djauhari). This was the first time an Indonesian poetic song was presented at the LYM Awards. Gita Malam complemented the performances of Ave Verum Corpus (Mozart), Lachen und Weinen (Schubert), and Nel cor più non mi Sento (Paisiello).

The achievements until today have been fully supported by many parties, namely the music supervising teachers, school leaders, institutions, and the extended family.

Beatrice's management expressed their gratitude for all the attention and support from all parties which are very meaningful and important for the development of Indonesian young generation talents for better progress in the future.
