The people who adhere to these cultures believe that making room for modernization could contaminate their culture. Despite their firm rejection, they still often have to deal with interference from the outside world.
Sometimes, these isolated people have to resort to violence to send a message to intruders. Such as firing their signature weapons into the air or giving clear signs not to approach. Well, here are some of the most isolated cultures in the world, as quoted from various sources.
Cannibalism and hunting are the main lifestyles of the people in this tribe, although some other tribes grow crops. It is said that more than 30 isolated tribes are found in Papua New Guinea. Like other tribes, the isolated Papuans were constantly against military threats and mining of their land.
2. Moxihatetema
The Moxihatetema tribe is a small tribe that originated from the Yanomami tribe. They are so isolated that they refuse to be associated with other cultures of the Yanomami. The tribe also suffers from external threats from illegal gold miners and military aggression.
3. Sentinelese Tribe
The Sentinelese are found on North Sentinel Island, Indian Ocean. They are known as the most isolated people in the world. The tribe is known as farmers, hunters, and fishermen. They are also known for being very cruel, especially to intruders. It is said that the Sentinelese are the most out-of-touch people in the world.
In 2018, the Sentinelese became very famous after the murder of an American missionary who tried to infiltrate their land. Their biggest fear is colonization, which would lead to an influx of diseases and infections in those without immunity.
