Anindya Bakrie Strengthens Commitment Support Net Zero Emission

VIVA – PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) is committed to expanding its business and continuing the transition towards sustainable business. BNBR President Director, Anindya Novyan Bakrie said that this right is especially in the transportation electrification industry sector, the new and renewable energy (EBT) or green energy industry sector.
"This strengthens the company's commitment to support Indonesia's net zero emission (NZE) target by 2060," Anindya said in a teleconference at the BNBR public expose, Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
According to Anindya Bakrie, besides trying to improve performance of business units that have been running well, in recent years BNBR has consistently pioneered the development of technology-based industries.
"This is oriented towards the concept of sustainable business as proof that we strive to fully adopt the principles of Environment, Social Governance (ESG)," Anindya Bakrie remarked.
He said that the transition to sustainable business can be seen from the continued development of one of BNBR's subsidiaries, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR), which is engaged in transportation electrification.
In addition, there is PT Bakrie Power (BP) as a subsidiary in the electricity energy sector that has transitioned into PT Helio Synar (Helio), which among others handles the development of the renewable power generation industry.
"Most recently, the company established PT Modula Sustainability Indonesia (Modula), which invests in building construction through the latest environmentally friendly 3D printing technology," Anindya Bakrie said.
It is known, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) through its subsidiary, PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas, has penetrated the business in the automotive segment, namely in electric buses. It is because the market share for business in the electric vehicle segment is still very large.
