VIVA – At the GIIAS 2022 exhibition held in the middle of this year, there were several automotive manufacturers presented new electric cars of their design. One of the models on display was the Kia EV6 GT-Line.

“After our introduction at GIIAS 2022, the Kia EV6 GT-Line has received a very good response and high interest. We received more than 100 orders from consumers, even though we have not officially announced the price and availability,” Ario Soerjo said on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

The Kia EV6 GT-Line will be priced at IDR 1.299 billion on the road in DKI Jakarta and includes a wall charger for the home. Delivery of units to customers' homes is expected to begin early next year.

The car is built using the same platform as the Ioniq 5, Hyundai Motor Group's New Electric Global Modular Platform or E-GMP. There are two electric motors installed to power all wheels, with 320 horsepower and 605 Newton meters of torque.

Equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery that uses a voltage of 800 Volts, the Kia EV6 GT-Line can travel as far as 506 kilometers before needing to be recharged.

The charging process takes seven hours when using an AC wall charger with 11 kW of power. Meanwhile, when utilizing the DC Fast Charging feature with 50 kW of power, the duration is only 73 minutes from 10 to 80 percent.

The Kia EV6 GT-Line can also use DC Ultra-fast Charging with a power of 200 kW and above to charge to 80 percent in 18 minutes.
