VIVA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded again about the economy's global condition, namely the recession threat. Jokowi stated in 2023 soon, the world economy will be more difficult than the economic condition this year. So, all countries are required to pass this recession.
The Indonesian President also said that next year, investors will be competed by all countries in the world to maintain the stability of each country's economy.
"It is predicted that early next year, we will enter a global recession. This is something that we all have to have the same feeling about. Therefore, the name of investment or investors becomes a bone of contention for all countries. Because all countries want capital inflow, everything," President Jokowi said at the opening of the National Investment Coordination Meeting 2022, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
All countries in the world will fight for existing investors to invest in their countries, including Indonesia.
"Because if there is no additional capital inflow, the circulation of money will not grow. All are fighting over investment, once again the name of the investor is a fight for all countries," Jokowi said.
Therefore, Joko Widodo wants investors to enter Indonesia easily and no one should make it difficult for investors to enter Indonesia. Jokowi doesn’t want investors to not want to invest in Indonesia because it is complicated.
"I don't want to hear any more about anyone making it difficult both at the center and in the regions, both at the center, in the provinces, in the regencies, and the cities, everything should not interfere with this. Because we have gained the trust, and know how to implement the policies we have taken, don't let anything distract," Jokowi explained.
According to President Jokowi, Indonesia has gained the trust of several investors in the world. Therefore, Jokowi hopes the trust of investors can be maintained as well as possible.
"The trust that we have gained should not be lost because we mistreat, treat the investment that enters our country, because of the tight competition in seizing investment," President Joko Widodo stated.
