Regarding the theme of Indonesia's G20 presidency "Recover Together, Recover Stronger", the British Ambassador assessed that the theme has represented the concerns of all countries after the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected countries in the world in many aspects, both economic, educational and cultural.

"Of course, I think the theme 'Recover together, Recover Stronger' is a jargon and theme that the world needs today. And I think when Indonesia sets the jargon complete with three priority issues of the energy transition, digital transformation, and strengthening global health infrastructure, this is very appropriate because we have just recovered from the pandemic," Jenkins said.

Furthermore, he talked about other benefits of the G20 for Indonesia and the UK's relationship, especially economic benefits. According to him, both countries will benefit a lot economically from Indonesia's G20 Presidency.

"If we look further ahead, talking about the issue of the energy transition, as well as digital transformation, also the needs of the health sector, the G20 forum encourages strengthening cooperation in these areas. Right now, we still have very close cooperation in the renewable energy transition sector," Owen Jenkins remarked.

"I think both countries can benefit enormously from the G20 presidency, and as I said earlier, Indonesia's priority issues are also a stimulus to boost the economies of both the UK and Indonesia," Owen Jenkins added.
