The Gala Dinner G20 Summit Presents Amazing Culture of Indonesia

VIVA – Bali is famous for the beauty of its impressive tourist attractions. One is Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Bali. This place was used as the location for the gala dinner of the G20 Summit delegates on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
The Indonesian government welcomed the world leaders and invited guests of the G20 Summit with a special dinner and also amazing cultural performances entitled "Welcoming Dinner & Cultural Performance G20 Indonesia" at GWK Bali.Â
The Gala Dinner was held at Lotus Pond, the largest 'landmark' known as the main square of Garuda Wisnu Kencana. President Joko Widodo and other state leaders enjoyed the dinner from 7 PM to 9 PM in Central Indonesia Time.
It is known, the gala dinner moment is also a series of agendas closing the first day of the G20 Summit. Garuda Wisnu Kencana was successfully transformed into a very beautiful and enchanting location for the delegates.
Presents Traditional Dance
Various kinds of dances were performed at the event, starting from the first opportunity, Garuda Paksi, Kecak, and Bujang Ganong dances which carried the theme 'Challenge'. Then, the second performance was the song Damai accompanied by Kijang, Pecak, Kupu-Kupu, and Enggang dances which carried the theme 'Nature'.Â
The third performance with the theme 'Recover Together' showcased Indonesia's signature drums, namely Kendang Sunda, Beleq, and Dol. Topeng Betawi Dance, Belian Bawo, Randai, Lala Dance, and Papua Dance also showed off in front of the world leaders.Â
The third performance carried the theme 'Recover Stronger' featuring the song Malam Indah while accompanied by Kipas Dance, Payung Dance, and dangdut music. Not a few world leaders were fascinated in the music and shaking their heads.
Jokowi Wears Balinese Traditional Clothes
President Joko Widodo and First Lady, Iriana Joko Widodo wore Balinese traditional clothes when attending the G20 Summit dinner at Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bali. The President and First Lady wore black tops and purplish bottoms.Â
The headband or Udeng used by Jokowi has a matching pattern with the cloth. Coupled with black cloth underneath. Then, there is also a golden decoration on the chest, a kris, and black footwear.Â
