VIVA – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President Director of PT Bakrie & Brothers (BNBR), Anindya Novyan Bakrie, introduced and invited the new boss of Twitter, Elon Musk, to visit Central Sulawesi as one of the nickel-rich areas in Indonesia.
It was conveyed by Anindya Bakrie at the B20 Summit 1-on-1 Conversation, with the title "Navigating Future Disruption of Global Technological Innovation" at the B20 Summit Indonesia, Bali, November 14, 2022.
"The batik that you are wearing comes from Central Sulawesi, from a small village where there is a lot of nickel there," Anindya said in a teleconference with Elon Musk, on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Anindya Bakrie hopes that one day Elon Musk can visit Central Sulawesi because the Indonesian people have the ambition to build a Net Zero Industrial Park using clean energy.
As information, many areas in Sulawesi are rich in nickel such as Morowali. Although it has several mining areas, the Morowali regional government seems to remain firm in implementing mining policies with reasonable exploration regulations along with the benefits that can be felt by the surrounding community.
Anindya Bakrie also said that he hoped Elon Musk would like the Bomba batik from Central Sulawesi.
"Therefore, I hope you like the bomba batik," Anindya Bakrie remarked.
On this occasion, Anindya Bakrie also asked about the room where Elon Musk conducted the teleconference so dark.
"We just had a power outage, so I am now only surrounded by a few candles. Sorry," Elon Musk answered, and made Anindya Bakrie also the attendees laugh.
Moreover, Elon Musk explained the reason for his online-only attendance at the B20 event. Musk said that his workload has recently increased, making it impossible for him to physically attend Bali.
"My current workload has increased. So, I was forced to miss attending in person in Bali," Elon Musk explained.
