Toyota bZ4X Electric Car Officially Launches in Indonesia

VIVA – Toyota Indonesia officially launched its first electric car, the Toyota bZ4X in Indonesia today. Previously, this electric car had been displayed several times at automotive exhibitions, one was at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) exhibition.
Entering the Sport Utility Vehicle or SUV segment, this car, which has a dashing appearance, has dimensions of 4,690 millimeters long, 1,860 mm wide, 1,600 mm high, and a wheel axle distance of 2,850 mm.
Its a machine on an electric motor with a power of 150 kilo Watts and a torque of 266.3 Newton meters, which is connected to the front wheel. While the battery has a Lithium-ion specification with a capacity of 71.4 kilos Watt-hours.
Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Anton Jimmi Suwandy, said that every purchase of the Toyota bZ4X electric car is equipped with a portable charger and wall charger facilities.
"The portable charger requires 3,500 Watts of power, while the wall charger is 7,700 Watts. We have also coordinated with PLN for the installation process," he said in Jakarta as quoted on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
The features embedded in this advanced electric car are abundant, starting from Toyota Safety Sense which can help drivers stay safe while on the road to several other additional technologies. For example, Safety Exit Assist will warn passengers when they are about to get off and there is a vehicle passing nearby.
Then, the Parking Support Brake will automatically activate the brakes if the driver steps on the wrong pedal while in the parking lot. Then, Advanced Parking will help the process of parking the car automatically.
With all this sophistication, PT TAMÂ offers the Toyota bZ4X for IDR1.19 billion on the road in DKI Jakarta. This price tag is around the lowest version of the Toyota Alphard.
