The Launch of Honda WR-V in Indonesia Becomes the First Globally

VIVA – Honda Indonesia officially launches a new car on November 2, 2022, which was previously a concept version that exhibited last year. This new car is included in the Small Sport Utility Vehicle or Small SUV category, namely, Honda WR-V.
The launch in Indonesia becomes the first Globally. President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Kotaro Shimizu, said that the WR-V is a complement to the Honda SUV series in Indonesia.
"This car complements Honda's SUV lineup, which was previously filled by the CR-V, HR-V, and BR-V models," Kotaro Shimizu said at the Press Conference in Jakarta, on November 2, 2022.
Kotaro Shimizu explained that the W meaning in the name of this new car model is Winning. This car is expected to be a passion for owners in realizing their dreams.

The Large Project Leader of Honda R&D Asia Pacific, Poychat Ua-arayaporn, also explained that the Honda WR-V was specially designed to fulfill the needs of consumers in Indonesia and Asia.
"This car has a compact size, high ground distance, and large wheel circumference. So, it can be used anywhere," Poychat Ua-arayaporn explained.
Just like other models, the Honda WR-V is also available in a type that is embedded with Honda Sensing technology. It can help make the trip safer. The features offered range from an automatic braking system to blind spot detection.
Currently, Honda Prospect Motor presents three types of Honda WR-V, namely, type E, type RS, and type RS with Honda Sensing. All of them are equipped with a 1,500cc engine capable of 120 horsepower and 145 Newton meters of torque whose power is channeled to a CVT automatic transmission.
