Marquez Glad Joan Mir and Alex Rins Join Honda in MotoGP 2023

VIVA – The racer of the Repsol Honda Team, Marc Marquez warmly welcomed the presence of the Suzuki Ecstar duo, Joan Mir and Alex Rins who joined Honda in MotoGP 2023. Marquez was not afraid to feel rivaled because the presence of both racers is considered to be able to make a big contribution to Honda.

As known, in MotoGP 2023 both Suzuki riders, Alex Rins and Joan Mir have been confirmed to join Honda. Later, Alex Rins will defend LCR Honda, while Joan Mir will become a Repsol Honda rider.

Therefore, Alex Rins and Joan Mir are expected to be able to impress with Honda in 2023. Moreover, Joan Mir will join Marc Marquez.

Marc Marquez admitted that he was optimistic that Alex Rins and Joan Mir had abilities that Honda could rely on. Because, Alex Rins has just proven it by winning the MotoGP Australia 2022, and Joan Mir has won Moto3 2017 and MotoGP 2020.

“Rins has great potential. He is a strong rider who has shown Suzuki that he can win. Joan Mir is world champion (MotoGP 2020) and also very fast," Marc Márquez remarked, as quoted from Speed ??Week.

"I've always had strong partners, from (Dani) Pedrosa, (Jorge) Lorenzo, and Alex (Marquez) to Pol (Espargaro), who was already on the podium with KTM when he joined us," Marquez added. 

However, Marc Marquez did not give Alex Rins and Joan Mir advice and input because both of them would still be his rivals later.

"Rins and Mir will also be strong. I won't give them advice because they are my rivals!" Marc Marquez said.

"But I'm working with Honda and the team in the best way possible and I'm doing everything I can to ensure that all Honda riders have the competitive bike they have in 2023!" he added.
