Indonesia Has Spent IDR 552 Billion for the G20 Presidency

VIVA – Through social media, the Ministry of Finance's Directorate General of Budget (Dirjen Anggaran) revealed that the realization of the G20 budget had reached IDR 552.35 billion. The budget realization consists of realization in 2021 and provisional realization in 2022.

"Rp 552.35 billion in total budget for 2021-2022. Formation of budget output, in brief, preparation and implementation of core events and the road to G20 Indonesia 2022, preparation and implementation of multilateral cooperation, event security, socialization, and media promotion," wrote the Directorate General of Budget through Instagram account @Ditjenanggaran on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Budget explained that for 2021 or preparations for the G20 Indonesia Presidency, the realization of the budget reached Rp 8.11 billion, and was spread across three institutional ministries (K/L) including, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Communication and Information, and the Ministry of Finance Trade.

Meanwhile, in 2022, the prepared budget ceiling of Rp666.69 billion, as of October 12, 2022, has realized 81.63 percent.

The implementation of the G20 in Indonesia is significant to promote national economic resilience and Indonesia's economic recovery efforts in response to the Corona Virus Disease pandemic, promoting Indonesia's achievements in implementing reform and democracy and optimizing other national interests.
