All New Toyota Vios Officially Launched in Indonesia

VIVA – PT Toyota Astra Motor officially launched the All New Toyota Vios by online which comes with many updates. Starting from the exterior design to the interior and engine improvements. The All New Vios present in Indonesia on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 or only about two months after its global debut in Thailand on August 9.
Toyota Vios is one of the sedans that has filled the Indonesian automotive market since the 2000s. This vehicle enters the entry-level segment and is now available in the latest generation.
TAM Marketing Director, Anton Jimmi Suwandy said that the latest Vios is made using a different platform from the previous model.
“This platform is lighter. So, the impact on fuel consumption is more efficient. In addition, it is also more rigid. So, the control is more leveraged. Then it's safer too,” Anton Jimmy said during a virtual press conference on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Anton Jimmy said that the new Vios comes in three types, namely E with a manual transmission, G CVT automatic transmission, and G CVT with the addition of Toyota Safety Sense (TSS).
The presence of TSS makes the sedan, which is now assembled in Thailand, can provide more security for passengers and drivers. This sedan relies on a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1,500cc, which has been updated to be more efficient.
On paper, the machine is capable of producing 78 horsepower and 138 Newton meters of torque. Meanwhile, the exterior specifications are 4,410 mm long, 1,740 mm wide and 1,480 mm high.
“The new Toyota Vios has a fastback design and is equipped with 17-inch tires. The wheelbase is longer than before, so it's more spacious,” Anton Jimmy remarked.
The features offered include Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Warning and Pre-Collision Braking, Front Departure Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Pedal Misoperation Control, to Automatic High Beam.
In addition, Toyota also provides the All New Vios with T Intouch technology which contains Find My Car, Geofencing, E-Care, Inquiry and Support Center, Trip Driving Update, and Road Assistance.
"Hopefully, this new product can be a solution to various existing conditions, such as the increase in fuel prices," Anton Jimmy added.
