Xiaomi Will Release Redmi A1 with Typical Indonesian Theme

VIVA – Xiaomi, an electronics and smart technology company from China will release the Redmi A1 in Indonesia on October 28, 2022. This phone will have Indonesian themes and wallpapers.
Launched to coincide with Youth Pledge Day, Redmi A1 will also come with a special Indonesian-themed box design by Sigit Setyo Nugroho who is a Xiaomi fan.
Based on Android Go, this phone has a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) of 40.3 percent. The presence of the Android Go-based smartphone is a manifestation of Xiaomi Indonesia's commitment to bringing innovation to everyone.
Through the achievement of the highest TKDN in the industry today, Xiaomi has exceeded the TKDN provisions for 4G and 5G-based telecommunication devices by 35 percent as stated in the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) Regulation No. 13 of 2021.

As a smartphone that has a TKDN of 40.3 percent, it also covers various aspects such as manufacturing (provision of production machines, use of local labor, addition of the SMT process for PCB assembly), product development for software locally, and application development in collaboration with local partners.
"By carrying an 8MP AI dual camera, a large 5,000 mAh battery, a 6.52-inch-wide screen, and a RAM expansion feature that reaches 5GB, Redmi A1 has an attractive design," Xiaomi explained in an official statement on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.
Redmi A1 has a leather texture that makes its physical appearance more premium and looks elegant for a smartphone in its class.
"This device will also be an attractive option for consumers who want to upgrade from a feature phone to a smartphone or for those who want to own a smartphone for the first time," Xiaomi continued.
