BMW Motorrad Officially Sells Electric Motorbikes in Indonesia

VIVA – A few years ago, BMW Motorrad has introduced the C Evolution concept motorcycle, and now the production version is presenting and selling in Indonesia, namely BMW CE 04. This environmentally friendly product uses an electric-based propulsion engine.
The existence of electric motorbikes products is in line with the desire of the Indonesian government to develop electric vehicles to reduce exhaust emissions from conventional vehicles.
The vehicle that carries the scooter concept at the front looks like a motorcycle in general, with a slightly wider body and LED headlights.
The movement source of this electric motor is a dynamo with 42 horsepower and 62 Newton meters of torque, which can accelerate from zero to a speed of 50 kilometers per hour in just 2.6 seconds.
The electric iron horse can accelerate to a speed of 120 kilometers per hour, and because of a battery with a capacity of 60.6 Ampere hours, its cruising ability can reach 130 kilometers.

The charging process takes 4 hours 20 minutes, but if you use the fast-charging facility, the duration is reduced to 1 hour 40 minutes. If you fill from 20 to 80 percent, it will only take 45 minutes.
Various sophisticated devices are embedded in the BMW CE 04, ranging from the ABS braking system, Automatic Stability Control, Dynamic Traction Control, and Adaptive Headlight, to four driving modes.
The instrument panel uses a 10.25-inch TFT screen, integrated navigation maps, and direct connectivity via BMW Motorrad Connected.
As Chief Executive Officer of BMW Motorrad Indonesia, Sukimin Thio said the sales target for the BMW CE 04 is the upper middle class.
"There have been orders from loyal customers of BMW Motorrad. Our target is middle-upper consumers," Sukimin Thio said in an official statement as quoted on Friday, October 7, 2022.
Thio said the motorbike that available in two color options, and offered for Rp380 million excluding taxes, or means off the road.
