Lead Ceremony, Jokowi Congratulates the 77th TNI Anniversary

VIVA English Site – President Joko Widodo becomes the leader of the ceremony at 77^th Indonesian National Army or TNI Anniversary event at the Merdeka Palace on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. President Jokowi delivers a speech and says congratulates TNI who celebrates their birthday.

"First of all, on behalf of the people, my nation and country, I wish you a Happy 77^th birthday to the Indonesian National Army wherever you are and serve," President Jokowi remarked in his speech on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

President Joko Widodo also thanked all the TNI who have worked to serve the nation. The Indonesian National Army has been maintaining the sovereignty of the Indonesian nation based on Pancasila and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"I express my gratitude and highest appreciation to the TNI family who continues to protect the nation's sovereignty, protect the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, and protect the entire homeland of Indonesia," Joko Widodo explained.



At the TNI Anniversary ceremony today, several of the main weapons systems or defense equipment in the form of combat vehicles have been in front of the Palace since the morning. The series of ceremonies started at 7.30 a.m. Marine Colonel (Pm) Moh. Erwin Kasirun acted as Commander of the TNI Anniversary Ceremony.

During the ceremony at the TNI Anniversary, several figures were present including the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia; Megawati Soekarno Putri, Defense Minister; Prabowo Subianto, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs; Mahfud MD, TNI Commander General; Andika Perkasa, and National Police Chief General; Listyo Sigit.

Not only that, but there was also a three-dimensional Chief of Staff, namely the Army Chief of Staff, General TNI; Dudung Abdurrahman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral; Yudo Margono, and Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal TNI; Fadjar Prasetyo.

Then, Chairman of the MPR; Bambang Soesatyo, Head of KSP General; Moeldoko and Cabinet Secretary; Pramono Anung, Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives; Puan Maharani, and some figures attended the 77^th TNI anniversary celebration.
