Indonesian Team Defeats Curacao Twice, Becomes FIFA Spotlight

VIVA – Indonesia managed to defeat Curacao twice during the FIFA Matchday period in September 2022. This victory became the spotlight for FIFA because Indonesia successfully faces a team that was ranked 84th.
In the inaugural match, Indonesia defeated Curacao 3-2 on September 24, 2022, at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya. Three days later, Indonesia won again 2-1 at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium.
Dimas Drajad listed his name on the scoreboard and another goal was created because of Dendy Sulistyawan.
The success of the Indonesian National Team to beat Curacao received the spotlight from FIFA. Through uploads on the official Instagram account, FIFA posted photos of the some Indonesian team players.
"Indonesia kembali mengalahkan Curacao lewat gol Dimas Drajad dan Dendi Sulistyawan. Malam yang indah bagi pecinta sepak bola di Indonesia!" wrote the FIFA account, on September 28, 2022.
"Siapa Man of the Match menurut kamu?" continued the caption of FIFA post.
On the other side, the victory in beating Curacao made the Indonesian Team manage to move up to 152nd in the FIFA rankings. Witan Sulaeman and others got 14.71 points from two wins over Curacao.
As reported by Footy Rankings, Team Garuda got 7.41 points in the first match. Meanwhile, the second win gained 7.30 points.
Thus, the Indonesian national team now has 1033.90 points in the FIFA rankings. Curacao had to drop to 86th position after losing 14.71 points.
