VIVA – The 2022 Tokyo Game Show is the largest game fair in the world officially over. At this event, there were announcements about the latest games that will be released. This event held on a hybrid basis on September 15 to 18, 2022 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
The Tokyo Game Show 2022 event was attended by more than 31,695 participants from all over the world and presented 1,883 booths to showcase each participant's products. So, here are some of the newest games from the 2022 Tokyo Game Show.
1. One Piece Odyssey
Odyssey gave a release date on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on January 13 next year. Whereas previously it was reported, that Luffy's adventure will visit gamers in 2022.
For additional information, One Piece Odyssey has an original story written by Eiichiro Oda, the author of the One-Piece manga.
2. Like A Dragon 8
Game lovers will definitely like RPG games like Yakuza. Reportedly, this name will be retired and replaced with Like A Dragon.
The use of the new name itself has previously been tested with the Yakuza: Like A Dragon series. According to Masayoshi Yokoyama, Boss RPG Studio, the response to the name Like A Dragon was pretty good. So, gave them the confidence to get the word Yakuza out.
3. Tekken 8
The latest game presented in this exhibition is Tekken 8. Through the trailer that was displayed during the exhibition, you can see the super epic battle between Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima in the rain and lightning.
Katsuhira Harada, General Manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment, said that in the previous series, they exhibited the battle of two Mishima's, namely Heihachi Mishima and Peak Kazuya. But it's different from Tekken 8 this time.
4. Resident Evil: Village
Ethan Winters has been the main character of Capcom's survival horror game series for the last two entries. Thus, the Downloadable Content (DLC) with the story of Shadows of Rose, will be the last chapter of the journey of the Winters family.
Additionally, Resident Evil 4 Remake is reportedly in development for PS4. Including adjustments to the previously announced PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles.
5. Suikoden
Finally, one of Suikoden's best RPG games gets an HD to remaster. Both Suikoden and Suikoden 2, will hit gamers on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC next year.
Both will be packaged in one collection titled Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars. Konami said that they would like to continue to make more games in the future.
6. Death loop
One of the games that won the Game of The Awards 2021, Deathloop, is coming to Xbox Game Pass this week. According to Xbox, the game arrival also coincided with a longer story ending.
In addition, Game Pass subscribers can enjoy the new Forza Horizon, Cross Tag Battle, Guilty Gear Strive, and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered.
7. Street Fighter
Street Fighter has revealed a line of characters that will accompany gamers in the series. there are at least 18 characters in total, starting from Ryu, Ken, Zangief, Dhalsim, E Honda, Blanka, Guile, Chun-Li, Cammy, Juri, Luke, Dee Jay, Kimberly, Jamie, Manon, Marisa, Lily, and JP.
Capcom has also announced that this game will get a closed beta in October 2022. Based on the explanation, players can enjoy it on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam from October 7 to 10.
