Jokowi Invites FIFA and IOC Presidents to Present at G20 Summit

VIVA – President Joko Widodo invites the President of International Football (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, and the president of International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach to present at the G20 Summit in Bali on November 15 to 16, 2022.
It was conveyed by IOC Member Erick Thohir on the sidelines of the Olympic Day celebration at the East Plaza Bung Karno Sports Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday, September 18, 2022.
During the G20 event, Erick Thohir together with Minister of Youth and Sports; Zainudin Amali, Chairman of the Indonesian NOC; Raja Sapta Oktohari, and PSSI General Chair; Mochamad Iriawan asked to escort the arrival of guests from President Jokowi.
"Because of the presence of the President of the IOC and the President of FIFA for the G20 event. The message to be conveyed is that we should not be too caught up in politics and politics, but society to society must be encouraged," Erick Thohir remarked.
"We should teach the world that Indonesia has diversity and Pancasila, is the foundation of our nation's strength that other countries must learn from," Erick Thohir added.
Previously, the plan for the arrival of FIFA President Gianni Infantino was also conveyed by FIFA representatives Jose Ariston Padre Caslib who also serves as FIFA Regional Technical Consultant for the Southeast Asia region, and Lavin Vignesh in a meeting with PSSI General Chair Iriawan and his staff at the PSSI Office in Jakarta.
The meeting also took place to discuss Indonesia's preparations for the 2023 U-20 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Erick attended the Olympic Day celebration as an IOC Member who handed over the reallocation of the silver medal at the XXX/2012 London, England to former Indonesian lifter, Citra Febrianti.
Citra Febrianti dropped in the women's 53kg at the London Olympics, and recorded a total lift of 206kg, the result of 91kg in the snatch and 115kg in the clean and jerk.
