The Increase of Ride Hailing Tariff Will Start This Weekend

VIVA – The Ministry of Transportation officially announced an increase in ride hailing tariff to match the increase in fuel prices. The tariffs will take effect from this week, exactly on September 10, 2022.
Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Hendro Sugianto said the new tariff for ride hailing or as known as ojek online is to adjust the components of the cost of fuel oil, regional minimum wages, and others.
"This service fee adjustment is carried out as an adjustment to service cost components such as fuel (price), UMR (Regional Minimum Wage), and the calculation of other service components," Hendro explained in a teleconference on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
After the decision is officially decided as of today, the applicator is given three days to apply it. According Hendro, on September 10, 2022 at 12 a.m. new rates will be applied.
With the increase in the online ojek tariff, here are the details based on the settings for each zone:
Zone I tariffs cover Sumatra, Bali, and Java in addition to Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi:
1. Lower limit tariff: Rp2,000/km
2. Upper limit tariff: Rp2,500/km
3. Minimum service fee with service fee range each 4 km between Rp8,000 to Rp10,000
Zone II tariffs cover Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi:
1. Lower limit tariff: Rp2,550/km
2. Upper limit tariff: Rp2,800/km
3. Minimum service fee with service fee range each 4 km between Rp 10,200 to Rp 11,200
Zone III tariffs cover Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara and its surroundings, Maluku and Papua:
1. Lower limit tariff: Rp2,300/km
2. Upper limit tariff: Rp2,750/km
3. Minimum service fee with service fee range each 4 km between Rp9,200 to Rp 11,000
