As a special staff of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Rosarita Niken Widiastuti explained further the advantages of digital television broadcasting.
"There can be six to twelve television stations. In addition, digital broadcasts also provide a much better picture quality display than analog broadcasts," Rosarita Niken remarked in Nusa Dua Bali on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
According to Rosarita, with this efficiency, the remaining frequencies will be used to expand internet access. Digital television migration and to cover the blank spot area. So, areas that are difficult to reach for internet signals will get better access.
"In addition, for the expansion of the 5G network to improve the digital economy," Rosarita Niken explained.
The termination of analog television broadcasts is carried out when an area is ready for network infrastructure for extremely poor households.
"So, people don't have to wait until November 2, 2022, to add set-top boxes. Moreover, with multiple ASOs, one area is finished with infrastructure, and analog TV broadcasting will be closed. So don't be surprised if suddenly the television at home goes out," Rosarita Niken Widiastuti explained.
