Complete List of Winners from UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup 2022

VIVA – The prestigious UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup 2022 mountain bike racing event has been completed in the Toah Pahoe Stadium area, Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

In the winning category in the Male Elite, French mountain bike racer, Quentin Schrotzenberger managed to become the winner. Schrotzenberger recorded the fastest time in the final 1 minute: 31.88 seconds.

In second place, Simon Gegenheimer from Germany managed to win, and Methasit Boonsane from Thailand was in third place.

In the female elite category, Marion Fromberger from Germany won first place, while Warinthon Phetpraphan from Thailand managed to become the second winner. Indonesia also managed to occupy the championship position even though it was in third position.

Ayu Triya Andriana from East Java, Indonesia, won the third place. Ayu Triya finished with a longer time of +0:10.07 than Marion who recorded the fastest time of 1 minute:47.98. This Palangkaraya series is the first time for Ayu Triya to appear in the MTB Eliminator World Cup.

This mountain bike racer from Indonesia was able to compete with the world's top racer from Germany, Marion Fromberger who became the champion.



As the first winner of male elite, Quentin Schrotzenberger admits, the track of the Palangkaraya series is quite challenging. He admitted that in the preliminary round to the semifinals he had experienced constraint.

"I managed to get through the first round, then in the quarter-finals, I had a hard time and then I changed the tire, but in the end, I was able to control the race, in the semifinals, I was scared at the first corner, but finally, I can win it," Quentin added.

"In the final, I was in fourth place, then I tried as hard as possible because I am sure to win, then at the end of the race, the world champion (Simon) had a corner too left, and I managed to overtake him. Then I won the race, " Quentin remarked.
