Ford Returns to Indonesia, Presents Two Products

VIVA – Ford has decided to return to the Indonesian market and Ford is ready to provide new product sales services. As known, Ford will offer two products, such as Ford Ranger and Ford Everest.
Previously, in 2016, an automotive brand from the United States had left Indonesia and handed over the responsibility for after-sales service to RMA Indonesia.
After returning to the Indonesian market, Ford has just opened its first dealership in Jakarta under the auspices of the AK Group, which is located in Mampang, South Jakarta.
RMA Indonesia Country Manager, Pinaki Mukherjee said that the AK Mampang dealership will offer Ford Ranger and Ford Everest products.
“Both types of vehicles have shown strong sales performance in 180 countries around the world, especially in Southeast Asia. AK Mampang has all the necessary infrastructure, to provide services to all customers,” Pinarki Mukherjee said on location as quoted on Friday, August 5, 2022.
According to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries or Gaikindo, in 2015 the average Ford sales in Indonesia were around 300-400 units each month.
The owner of the Ford AK Mampang dealership, Andee Yoestong said that the place has a ground floor building area of 660 square meters that’s used as a showroom as well as for workshops, repairs and spare parts sales.
“Ford AK Mampang dealerships serve sales, maintenance and repair, as well as spare parts service. There are also spare parts storage warehouses, both fast moving and slow moving,” Andee Yoestong explained.
Ford AK Mampang is the fifth dealership in Indonesia following previous openings in Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Bandung and Medan.
“We strive to continue to deliver world-class vehicles, and provide all customers a Ford standard ownership experience,” Pinaki remarked.
