Even though, on July 10, 2022, the price of this type of non-subsidized fuel has been raised.

When confirmed, the Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting confirmed that this periodic price adjustment step was indeed again carried out by Pertamina.

"Non-subsidized fuel prices are still volatile, following the latest developments from the oil and gas industry, especially world oil prices or ICP," Irto Ginting explained when contacted by VIVA Bisnis, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

He added that the average ICP price each July was US$106.73 each barrel. The price position is still around 24 percent higher than the ICP price in January 2022.

However, Irto ensured that 95 percent of the national fuel portion, namely Pertamax, Pertalite, and Solar, did not change the price. This is because only certain segments of the fuel have changed prices, such as the Pertamax Turbo and Dex Series types.

"Even then it is still the most competitive in its class," Irto Ginting remarked.

For Pertamax Turbo (RON 98), Irto Ginting also explained that there’s a price adjustment to Rp17,900. Meanwhile, Pertamina Dex (CN 53) became Rp18,900, and Dexlite (CN 51) became Rp17,800 each liter.

“This increase applies for the DKI Jakarta area, or areas with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5 percent. This price is valid from August 3, 2022," he said.

Previously, non-subsidized fuels such as Pertamina Dex, Dexlite, and Pertamax Turbo had undergone price adjustments on July 10, 2022. The price of Pertamax Turbo began to rise from Rp14,500 each liter to Rp16,200 each liter at that time.

Meanwhile, the price of Dexlite also increased from Rp12,950 per liter to Rp15.00 each liter, and the price of Pertamina Dex increased from Rp13,700 each liter to Rp16,500 each liter.
