Jokowi Inaugurates Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo Has Everything

VIVA – Komodo International Airport, Labuan Bajo in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, was inaugurated by the President of Indonesia, Jokowi Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday, July 21, 2022. On this occasion, Jokowi said that Labuan Bajo has everything as a tourist destination.
According to Jokowi, the government has built a number of infrastructures to meet the needs in Labuan Bajo. Start from road construction, to beautified tourist attractions.
"What is still lacking from Labuan Bajo? The road has been widened and also extended. Then, the port was moved from here to a new location. Then, tourist destinations have also been beautified," Joko Widood said in his remarks broadcast by the Secretariat's President YouTube account.
Currently, Labuan Bajo is able to attract tourists with its advantages. The attractions of Labuan Bajo such as culture, beautiful natural scenery and Labuan Bajo also has the Komodo Island National Tourism Park that is not owned by other places.
"Labuan Bajo is complete. The culture is there, the scenery is very beautiful, the beaches are amazing, and in a world that doesn't exist, that doesn't exist anywhere else, there are Komodo dragons. The ones on Komodo Island and Rinca Island. With these advantages, we should use it to prosper our people here," Joko Widodo said.
Therefore, the Government has determined Labuan Bajo as five super priority tourist destinations. In supporting this, the Government seeks to complement the existing infrastructure in Labuan Bajo, including the construction of the Komodo Airport.
"On this good occasion and by saying Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, today, I inaugurate the expansion of Komodo Labuan Bajo Airport," Jokowi added.
The inauguration of the airport was carried out by beating the drum, and also signing the inscription. Jokowi and Iriana Jokowi together with a number of ministers who were present beat the drums together.
In this event also attended to accompany Jokowi, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono and a number of other Ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.
